If he were injured it was a countdown to how quickly he could convince the nurse to let him go. If he were visiting someone else, well, he'd failed them in the first place. He knew their operation hadn't been a failure. Still, it was difficult to stay logical in the face of what they'd lost.]

From the bits and pieces he'd overheard about All Might avoiding his former sidekick, he figured he would need time. Maybe it's selfish of him. Maybe he's just projecting how he dealt with loss onto someone else: isolation, reflection, and a lot of alcohol.]
[Whatever it was in his head, it comes off as Aizawa entirely avoiding the other hero. Which would have been pretty normal for the beginning of the school year. It was a little more complicated when they'd started going out. Aizawa would insist it wasn't anything serious but, as Present Mic put it, "serious" was Aizawa's only setting. They'd gone out once or twice on their own, away from the prying eyes of the rest of the U.A. staff. Then, well, one thing came after another and both were the type to put work before pleasure.]
[So, All Might's sent along with Mic to supervise their students at remedial courses. Aizawa's back at the hospital with Eri and the principal. They don't touch base afterwards, although a text will come in with an update around 9:00p.m.]
["Eri will be staying with U.A. I'll be in charge of her."]
[And that was pretty detailed for one of Aizawa's texts. He assumes all the subtext is obvious. He'll have even less time to spare.]
